US Tourist Visa (B2)

A tourist visa and a visitor visa are one and same. But they differ in some simple aspects. B2 visa
US B2 visas are referred to as “visitor for pleasure” visas, while in practice this visa covers candidates entering the nation for visiting relatives, health reasons and to take part in short study courses and also for tourists.
B-2 visas are issued for duration of 1 to 10 years, during which the holder is allowable to make several entries into the United States to pursue permitted B2 visa activities. The visa activities include tourism, health reasons, visiting family or friends etc.

Spouse immigration and Dependent Immigration
In USA, B2 visas are not considered as possible routes to US citizenship or permanent residency; they are mainly designed for temporary visits to accomplish a pre-determined purpose. Dependents and Spouses cannot get a “Dependant Visa” to accompany the main holder, but they can secure their own B2 visas. In the situation where a B2 holder’s dependents are planning to apply for joining the main holder, they should qualify for and get their own grant.
